How to add custom map icons

Maps Marker Pro is compatible with Map Icons Collection available at https://mapicons.mapsmarker.com and allows you to choose from more than 1000 different icons which you can use for free for your markers.

If you want to upload custom icons, please proceed as follows:

1. Navigate to “Add Marker” and click on the “Change” button next to Icon:
   
2. As next step a window with the currently available icons opens – here click on the “Upload new icon” button as next step:
   
3. Choose your icon file by clicking on “Browse…” button, select the file and finish by clicking the button “Upload”:
   

All uploaded icons are saved in the directory /wp-content/uploads/maps-marker-pro/icons – so as an alternative you can also use an FTP program like filezilla to connect to your server and directly upload your new icons to this directory.
