With v2.8.2 of my plugin I focused on fixing some nasty bugs which users reported in the support forum – many thanks for any hint about incompatibilities with other plugins for example! Unfortunately I dont have the ressources to test every possible scenario so I am very thankful if you report any problem you encounter when using my plugin.
Although I focused on bugfixing and optimization of the plugin with v2.8.2, I could also add the following new feature to the plugin:
added media button to TinyMCE editor and support for HTML editing mode
With v1.9 I introduced a button for the TinyMCE toolbar on posts and pages edit screen in order to make adding maps you created to posts and pages easier. I now optimized this integration by also adding a clickable icon to the media bar:
If you click on one of those icons, a popup opens which allows dynamic search for marker title and description and to add the corresponding shortcode to your page or post:
v2.8.2 also adds a button in the HTML button bar if you have disabled your visual editor:
As always you can easily remove those buttons from the posts and pages edit screen:
just navigate to Settings / Misc and set the option “TinyMCE button” to disabled:

Outlook – my plans for the next release
I this new section which I will add to each detailled changelog, I will give some outlook of features planned for the upcoming release of Leaflet Maps Marker. Please be aware that although I have a quite detailled roadmap in my head, this can often change quickly due to requests and feedback from you 🙂
With v2.9 which I plan to release next, I want to revamp the settings panel. As there are more than 400 options you can currently set, I think the plugin needs a more flexible and usable settings area. I think about adding a settings panel like the fabulous one within the great plugin WP Editor.

I am also looking for more translations – if you would like to contribute a new one, please visit this page for more information. And of course I´d very appreciate your 5-star-vote for my plugin on wordpress.org 😉
