Maps Marker Pro v4.24 is our last release for 2022 and includes an update to Leaflet.js as well as lots of other optimizations and bugfixes. For details and other highlights about this release please see below.
An updated to the latest version is – as always – highly recommended. If you access to updates and support has expired, please click here for more information on how to optionally renew your access. Although your license key never expires, unless you renew your access to updates and support, you will not be able to get plugin updates including new features, optimizations, bug and security fixes, translations updates as well as access to our helpdesk with dedicated 1:1 support. Therefore we always recommend updating to the latest version of Maps Marker Pro.
Leaflet.js – the engine of Maps Marker Pro – has been updated from v1.9.2 to v1.9.3. For a full list of changes please see the related changelog.
Starting with v4.24 the first available basemap will be used as a fallback whenever there are no other valid basemaps available for a given map (e.g. when the API key for the only added basemap is removed or no basemap was added to the map at all).
This new setting can be found at Settings / Layers / General and is enabled by default:
If the location of a marker is set by address search and then moved by mouse, a warning message is displayed now that the new location does not match the initial geocoordinates of the address:
Clicking on the “Reset location” button restores the geocoordinates of the address.
We updated the coding autocomplete integration – using a more preformant and lightweight library, resulting in better performance & usability – especially on mobile devices.
Additionally we moved all geocoding requests from client to server to prevent reported issues and to prepare for an exciting geocoding update, which is planned for one of the next releases.
Thanks to our translators this release also includes updated translations, see full changelog for details.
